Seymour Smidt has written five books, including The Capital Budgeting Decision, and dozens of articles and unpublished white papers. Smidt has been the Dean of the College of Business Administration and Economics at Koç University in Turkey, as well as a Visiting Professor at Tel Aviv University and the University of Pennsylvania. He has testified before the Senate and the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) on banking, housing, and urban affairs. He has presented and appeared at conferences and seminars at numerous universities and institutions, including UCLA, NYU, UNC, and Dartmouth. He has served as a board member of the Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission and the Institute for the Study of Securities Markets. In addition to his achievements in the U.S., Smidt has traveled around the world to contribute to discussions on finance and economics.
